Sandy snort and says, “Go away! I don’t wanna meet you!” she exclaimed and buried her face on her pillow.

And the door is opened by someone. “Sandy, are you okay?” that someone said. It’s Syu.

“Ah, it’s you, Syu. I thought it was… him,” Sandy said when she saw her.

“What’s wrong, dear?” Syu kindly said. Clearly, she knows who is HIM.

“I don’t what to say… It just like this, he’s gonna ruin my birthday,” Sandy said and buried her face back on her pillow.

“Why? What happened? What did he do?” Syu persistently asked.

“You wanna know? He said like this, ‘Sandy, I’ve booking a boat. Let’s go fishing to celebrate your birthday’, could you believe that?” Sandy said. Clearly, she was disappointed.

“He is like that, right? You know him. Remember when you met for the first time,” Syu said to console her.

“Yeah, I do remember. It’s in the boat. How unromantic,” Sandy claimed.

“Are you the captain? Do you see one of my students? Practically, he running around here before he lost,” Sandy said to the man worriedly.

“I’m not the captain. But, for now, this is my boat,” he said.

“Oh, I’m sorry. But, if you found him, could you call me? This is my phone number. Please help me. Arigatou,” she said and bowed while hand over her card.

“But, I think you should be angry or sad. He should change a little bit sometimes. He’s being too predictable,” Syu said.

“Yeah, you wish. Like it’s gonna happen. It’s too impossible,” Sandy said.

“Don’t be too sad, kay, my dear? I’m outside. I’m going to cook something for Nana. Come join us if you want. I’ll cook extra,” Syu said.

“Just leave it there, I’ll eat it later,” Sandy said as Syu walking out the room.

“Uh, I’m starving,” Nana said and look around. “Where’s Sandy? Not eating along?” Nana asked.

“I don’t know. She’s a little bit sad,” Syu replied.

“Eh? Why?” Nana asked with her mouth full.

“Eat first, talking later. Have some manner, Nana,” Syu said.

“Sorry,” Nana said without looking at Syu.

“By the way, her birthday is in 2 days. Do you have any ideas?” Syu asked Nana.

“We’re going to celebrate it? I thought she’ll go fishing with Ohno-kun. You know it’s like annual event for her birthday,” she said and remembered something. “No, it’s not annual, it’s weekly activity,” she continued and giggled.

“That’s the problem. She’s sad cuz there’s no change in him,” Syu said.

“So, we should do something, right?” Nana said. Suddenly, she stands up, “Ah, I know,” she said and runs to her room.

“Nana, Finish this first! Where’s your manner, young lady?” Syu exclaimed when Nana suddenly runs to her room.

“Sorry… But, look at this,” Nana said and hand over a music note to Syu.

“It’s a song? Yeah, my friend wrote it. Remember, JunSu, that one guy that an exchange student from Korea that come here twice to study because he’s too stupid,” Nana explained.

“Yeah, I remember. How’s his study?” Syu asked while examine the song.

“Ah, he’s not getting any better. He’s getting more stupid. He should drop out from school, you know,” Nana said while eating.

“Nana, you’re getting more sarcastic,” Syu said.

“Don’t you happy with that? Now, I’m getting your boyfriend’s special behavior. Blame him,” Nana said and eats again.

“JunSu, remember to sing beside Nana’s piano. And, Kazu-kun, could you please tell Ohno-kun to come here by now? He’s getting late,” Syu ordered us around.

“Relax, sis… Everything’s gonna be perfect,” Nana said.

“Yes, sweetie. I’m sure it’s great. You should fetch Sandy by now. Everything’s ready,” Kazu said.

“I hope,” Syu said in relieve.

“Oh-chan, you better do it perfectly, if not, Syu’s gonna kill both of us,” Kazu said to Ohno.

“Got it,” Ohno said while holding a bouquet of purple tulip.

Then, he entered the boat. For afar, he could see that Sandy make her way here with her little students sing ‘Happy Birthday’ song for her.

Sandy is smiling. Just wait, my dear, I’m going to make it brighter, he said in his heart.

Sandy entered the boat and when the ‘Happy Birthday’ song is over, a sound from Nana’s hand to the key of the piano is started. Another second, JunSu’s voice started to sing a song.

Sandy looks at Syu with a very touched look. Syu just smiled back.

“Will you marry me, birthday girl?” Ohno, which suddenly kneeling, asked.

I want to scream out towards the sky

Sandy gasped. “Oh my God,” she murmured and crying in happiness.

“I’m sorry for disappointing you. I’ll do better in future. Please lead me and be by my side,” Ohno said. He is still kneeling. He hands over the bouquet of flowers to Sandy.

Like those smiling flowers

Sandy takes those flowers. Sandy smiled and after that, she pulls Ohno to stand and hugged him.

More than the air I breathe

“Thank you. Thanks everyone,” she said in Ohno’s arm.

“Happy Birthday, dear,” Ohno whispered it in Sandy’s ear. “Picture of you is always on my mind,” Ohno said again.
