"Seung Ki-ya, come over here," Grandpa called him. "Seung Ki-ya, call Min Jung, nae?" Grandpa ordered him. He nodded and ran towards Min Jung who played with Min Ji.
Both of them, the boy and the girl walked towards the old man. They sat in front of the old man.
"Seung Ki-ya, Min Jung-ya, when I died, I want you two watch over Min Ji, she still a kid, arasseo?" Grandpa said. As for the two, they just nodded and made a promise, that one day, they regret it.

"Harabuji! I passed the entrance examination for high school!" Min Jung shouted in excitement. She ran to their house with the result paper in her hand.
"Harabuji! I passed! Seung Ki oppa, I passed it! Flying colours, look!" she said in happiness as she gave the result paper to Seung Ki.
"I can enter high school. Seung Ki oppa, don't worry, I'll make it up and teach you everything I learn in high school later," she said again.
"Min Jung-ya, you can't go to high school," Grandpa said.
"Why can't? I passed the exam," she said with her smile slightly faded away.
"I couldn't afford you and Min Ji for school. You just drop-out. Let Min Ji study," the old man made up his mind and cleared the thing.
"This is not fair!" Min Jung said and ran towards the door and left the house. Seung Ki chased after her.

Rest in Peace
The atmosphere was so cold. The rain continously fell that day as if the rain also mourned over Grandpa's death.
"Min Ji-ya, stop crying. Go wash and sleep, arasseo?" Min Jung said to her but she was still cried since the past two days.
"How was she?" Seung Ki asked. Min Jung just shook her head.
Seung Ki walked towards Min Ji and sat beside her. "Min Ji-ya, I know you love Grandpa and I know you're sad over his leave. We all do," Seung Ki said, stopped her sobs. "From now on, whatever you need, whatever you want, I'll fulfill it all," he said to her.
He walked to Min Jung who was eavesdropping to the conversation. She looked at his with puzzle look.
"We've promised to Grandpa, Min Jung. We've promised and we'll fulfill it," he said as she remembered the promised that one day, they will regret.

"Oppa, hurry up! I'm late for school!" Min Ji shouted from outside.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming!" Seung Ki replied. He walked to Min Jung and said,"I'm going to send Min Ji to school. Are you okay? I'll be back to send you to work, okay?" he promised.
"Gwenchana. You should go straight to work after sending Min Ji. I can just walk. I'll be fine by myself," she said to him. He looked at her in guilty.
"Oppa!!!" Min Ji shouted again.
"Yes, yes!" he replied.
"Hurry go," she said. "Oppa , be careful," she reminded as he walked toward the door.

"I passed the entrance exam for university!" Min Ji shouted in happiness. "After this, Min Jung unni and Seung Ki oppa, no need to work hard anymore, I'll graduate and work for us," she said.
As the night keeps going, and Min Ji was already sleeping, Min Jung went to the attic. A moment later, Seung Ki joined her.
"Why are you here? Aren't you sleepy?" Seung Ki asked as he joined her sitting there.
"I'm watching the stars. When we were kids, we always wish while looking at it. It was stupid, none of my wishes come true," Min Jung said and threw a nervous laugh.
"You still regret over it? Sorry that I couldn't work harder that time. If only I did worked harder, you're graduating now," Seung Ki said.
"Don't say sorry. It won't change anything. For now, let's work hard for Min Ji, for her future and our future," she said.

"Oppa, unni, can I move to hostel? My friend is afraid staying alone and it's easier for me to study if I stay at hostel," Min Ji said.
"Why? We need to pay for the boarding fees," Min Jung said as she broke into worriness.
"Ahh," she whined. "I can work part-time to pay it. I can pay it myself," she claimed.
"No, don't take part-time, just study," Seung Ki objected. "Min Jung-ya, let her stay at the hostel," Seung Ki decided. Min Jung just silent as she knew she can't say anything anymore. She can't afford to object Seung Ki's decision.
"Thank you, oppa, unni. I'll study hard, I'll come home on weekends, nae?" Min Ji said in excitement.

Seung Ki's dropped by to Min Ji's campus. It's been 4 month since he saw her. It's been 4 month since she visited their home.
"Excuse me, can I know where Social Studies' faculty," he asked the students around.
"Oh, just in front this building over here," the student said pointing to some buildings.
"Ah, thank you," Seung Ki said and bowed.
He walked around like he got neither direction nor motivation. He didn't even know where was Min Ji.
He walked and walked until he reached a library.
There, in front of the library, he saw Min Ji, sitting with her friends, four girls and two guys. She glanced and saw him, clearly saw him. He was excited and wanted to say hello but, Min Ji clearly make her friends and herself walked away from that place. Leaving Seung Ki, clueless.

She walked to her as she saw her there.
Min Ji saw her and says, "Unni, what are you...," her talk was cutted by her fast action, which was slapping her right in her face.
"Hey girl, what do you think you're doing?" a guy, friend of Min Ji said as Min Jung slapped her.
"You, shut up! This got nothing to do with you!" she said with furious gleam in her eyes.
"It's okay, she's my sister," Min Ji said as she rubbed her cheek. "Please, leave us alone for a moment," she said and the 6 of her friends gone.
"Who did you think you are?!" Min Jung started to pour her anger out. "What did you think Seung Ki oppa haven't done for you?!" she furiously asked but clearly, she wasn't waiting for an answer.
"It's not my fault! Seung Ki oppa came here with his torn clothes!" she did counterattack on Min Jung's words. Clearly, she was adding petrol into Min Jung's heart that was burning.
"He loves you, he sacrifies himself for you, he works so hard, day and night for you! What haven't he done for you? What he wouldn't done for you? He did everything! Why are you being like this? Where's your heart? Where's your promises to us?" she kept attacking Min Ji with her persistant questions. She really let her heart spoke out.
That time, Seung Ki who witnessed the fight, he immediately ran towards them and stopped the fight.
"Min Jung-ya! Stop it!" Seung Ki shouted to her face.
"Seung Ki oppa, she's getting too spoiled! She did everything that hurts you, why can't you say anything?" she protested over Seung Ki's biasness.
"Because I already promised, I'm gonna keep my promise! If you don't wanna do this anymore, you are free to go, I can support myself and Min Ji without you!" Seung Ki said angrily.
"What did you just said? So, this is what I got from defending you?" Min Jung said. Tears started to roll upon her cheeks.
"I never ask you to defend me!" he shouted back to her.
"Fine! I'll go and I will never come back!" she said with huge disappointment.

"Min Jung, please. He's in the lock-up now. You need to persuade him to admit that he didn't do it, I'm sure he didn't do that kind of thing," Boo San said to her.
"Boo San-ah, I don't think, he'll listen to me, I'm sorry," she said.
"Min Jung, please. I can't bear to see him like that," he said as he knelt to the ground. "Please come back, you're right about Min Ji, she didn't love Seung Ki as he did to her. You are right. Please, persuade him. At this rate, he'll do anything for Min Ji, you could change his mind," Boo San continuously persuade her.
And, when a girl loves a guy, she obviously can't bear to let him die. She agreed and went to the police station to meet Seung Ki.
"Seung Ki oppa," she said as she saw him. The policeman made him sat in front of Min Jung.
She was looking at him, he looked different, almost ruined, as if he had neither soul nor feelings. He looked expressionless.
"Oppa, please, I know you didn't do this. I know you very well," she said as the room had been quiet since early.
"I have nothing to lose. That boy has everything and Min Ji needs him," he said half-heartedly as if he had no life to live.
"What about me? I need you. Please, tell the truth, everything can be solved. That boy you want to save, he got chickened out, afraid to tell the truth, afraid to tell lies and ended up saying nothing. You can save yourself. Oppa, please I need you," she said and fallen tears from her eyes was unstoppable.
"Oppa, please, I need you, this life isn't just about Min Ji. She doesn't care about you, you shouldn't care about her. Please live for me. I care about you, a lot," she continued.

When a man loves a woman, a man would sacrifice even his life. And, for a man, a woman could do the same thing. Love isn't blind, human is. Love isn't stupid, human is. This is a ridiculous, but that's how my love story is. As long as you open your eyes, your mind and your heart, there's always one person that would love you, that would wait for you, that would sacrifice for you. If the person is still here, cherish them as I did now...
